So, what's your rating for this season premier?

As far as premieres go a big fat 0 This was not a premiere, this was an MotW episode.
Buttjokes? Seriously?? Angels can fight again, are angry again, make moviereferences. No.
A 10 for Dean's monologue and brooding eyes <3 At least he can fight again.
But points taken for the buttjokes, Alexanders Castiel 2.0
5/10 Only for the last couple of minutes it's this high.

A 10 for Dean's monologue and brooding eyes <3 At least he can fight again. Can he? I saw some complaints on twitter that once again Dean wasn't allowed to fight or get the kill, that it was S12 one-sided Dabb/Singer-mandated biz as usual. So that wasn't the case?

Dean fought, he lost, fought again, had a hostage. Sam was in jail so he got an asswhooping. Then said hostage pretended to surrender, stabbed Jack and got killed by Sam.
So Sam did got the kill but Dean got the fight.

2/10 for me.
It was going to be 0, but then I gave it my standard 1 just for Jensen/Dean giving me something to keep me watching as I've done for prior barely watchable episodes and seasons.
I gave it another one for mentions of, and the few mourning scenes for, Cas.
The Nephilim I'm indifferent to, aside from it being imitation-Cas-meat and a poor substitute, IMO.
Everything else was just Meh.
This was the lowest I've ever rated a Season Premier for this show. Sad
Next episode up...Bucklemming!

Jeez, remember when this show wasn't a snore? Yeah, I tried to keep an open mind and watch it so stayed away from all comments on the episode - and it was really reallly bad. It was boring ugh - which SPN has never been (well not till S12) My rating was <0 - not even Jensen could rescue this one for me and not even for him can I continue to watch this crap that Supernatural has become. I guess I will watch his scenes on Youtube.

Next episode up...Bucklemming! Seriously? That's brilliant. A damn weak premier following a bad season with those idiots getting the second episode? They're going from weakness to weakness. I accept that I'm stubbornly watching this show until it ends or I die of old age. It is what it is and I like watching Ackles for a multitude of reasons. I just wish it wasn't so dull and downright lazy now, and I'd be fine with a more MotW format for a season to, idk, give the people involved time to come up with a passable idea or get replaced.

Finally FF/watched the episode tonight because it was there and needed to get off my dvr.
I'm sincerely not interested in anything that doesn't really involve Dean, not making any bones about it - or even less so than usual. So there's a lot I'm going to be skimming over, and judging by what I did watch of this episode, I'm missing nothing anyway.
Occasionally I did try and stop for a moment to see what this Jack brat was going to be like, and all I really got out of that experiment is the realization that the actor - I don't know, what's his name again? - can't act. OTOH, he seems perfect for the spin-off. I'll leave it at that.
I gave the episode an overly generous 3 for Jensen's two big scenes - praying and wrapping up Castiel's bod - and for his honesty in talking to the sheriff, who was the one guest star I liked. Even her kid was okay - certainly better acted than Jack.
Otherwise, the episode failed in the worst possible way in that it was SOOOOOOO boring. A total snooze-fest - that in and of itself warrants judicious use of the FF button. If it wasn't for Jensen, and Dabb's "graciousness" (insert sarcastic tone here) in allowing Dean to mention Crowley at least twice, the episode would have been a big fat 0.
The previews for next week's episode look even worse.
