These go up every week. I'm just too lazy to post the links here: thesnowleopard.net/thehistoricalmeow/2017/11/23/whispers-spoilers-speculation-corner-112317-the-thanksgiving-edition/One interesting tidbit - Kripke's suing WB for chintzing him on the profits for the show. So, we're about to find out just how much freakin' money this show really makes for its studio. For example, the WB is *admitting* (which means the real amount is probably much higher) to $570 million in profit for the show in the first eight seasons alone. Since shows usually operate at a loss in the first five seasons or so, it's very likely Supernatural has topped a billion in profits by now because the money really starts to roll in for those shows that go beyond eight seasons and especially past ten, and are successful in syndication. Think about that.

Wow! I saw that article but haven't really been following it much. Does Kripke have a case?

Probably. The principle of Hollywood Accounting is for a studio or production company to work the books in such a way that a show or film (especially a really successful one) never appears to be in the black. That way, they don't have to share the profits with any of the makers of the show or film. And some showrunners and lead actors have won cases in recent years on similar grounds. It sounds as though he's got a good lawyer, so we'll see.
