I don't know if anyone will see this but this was the best place I could find to try... I'm afraid to admit some of this but here goes.
When I discovered Supernatural, it was through a Destiel fic on deviantART where I wasn't sure if it was a fanfuc or an originsl. But I loved Castiel so I Googled his name and found the show. As I watched, I saw why Dean made sense for Cas.
Then I met a girl who is now my friend. She showed me why SAM made sense. And I could see that, too. Sastiel made so much more sense to me that I fully switched ships. But I still read Destiel fanfics because that's 90% of them and I love reading. I'm not gonna dismiss a good story because of a ship I briefly shipped myself. I just don't write it; I stick to my Sastiel.
Here's where I'm suddenly having trouble: I think I might be falling back into shipping Destiel IN ADDITION to Sastiel. And I don't know how to feep about that.
I see how crazy Destiel shippers can be, pushing their ship to the point of irritation to other fans and even the boys at cons. Obvioysly, that's not a concern for ME doing it but it is part of why I was afraid to admit that I might be falling into that ship again.
Second, I've never heard of anyone being okay with BOTH. I've heard of others switching ships but never shipping both. I don't know how I feel about this...
Thoughts? Advice?

Honestly? It's just a ship. You get to feel however you want about the show and watch for whatever reason you want. As long as you're polite about it, I don't see how you'd get into trouble with anything but the usual idiots. And the rest of us don't bother with them.
As for entertaining two conflicting ships at once, I don't see why not, as long as you can juggle them in your own mind to your own satisfaction.

Yes, ship whatever you want. I, personally, do not ship anything on this show. I am not someone to judge others who do. Whether Destiel or Sastiel. Enjoy what you enjoy. As long as you do not try and push anyone to see things as you see them, and expect everyone else to see as you do, who cares?
Ship whatever you want.

When reading fanfic, I ship Destiel, I ship Wincest, I ship Team Free Will, along with Browley, Drowley, Samifer, Sabriel... if it is a well written story, I'll read it. Hell, I'll ship it in RP also, along with Original Characters getting in the mix.
What I don't do, is bring it up to the actors. That's not a Destiel problem, that is an Entitled Fan problem and I've seen fans of Sam/Ruby ask Jared some very explicit questions about the relationship when Jared's wife and kid was behind the curtain.
Fans need to realize that our fanon is most likely never going to be canon (sometimes it happens, yes I'm looking at you Spike/Buffy). Don't worry about liking a ship if you're respectful towards the actors.
