Yeah, I'm not holding out much hope for it with that.
Oh yeah, I'm foaming a little at the mouth. Who knows, it might turn out well but given that Berens wrote Red Meat... I'll only watch if the episode thread is positive, better for my blood pressure!

When I first heard of Supernatural, I thought maybe I'd watch it. Forgot about it, and then my sister started watching and mentioned to me to watch it. I thought and told her "Well isn't it like two Buffy the Vampire Slayer brothers fighting monsters and crap?" She said "No, It's not, ya gotta watch it!". Now, mind you, I did like Buffy until the spin off with Angel which I thought was better. She was right Supernatural was far better and not what I thought of it. FF and now we have an official synopsis with "Sammy the Vampire Slayer". With that, and a lack of anything specifically for Dean as well in that synopsis, um yeah, not holding out much hope for a good one myself. I'm thinking, probably mediocre at best. I'll still watch but with low expectations.
With this past episode, next weeks looking IMO weak, that synopsis for the one after and another Davy Perez script after that, I think we have already entered into another slump. Just IMHO.

Another episode of paying homage to Sam, aka 'SuperMario' aka 'The Big W.' Complete with time jumps and Chuck knows what else.
Won't that be fun?
I tend to watch this season's episodes after they've aired so that I can pause them whenever they make my blood boil, and wander off to make a soothing cup of tea.
The only episode I've been psyched for and watched live so far is Regarding Dean. And with what's on the horizon, I'm afraid we've peaked this season with that episode, and that just makes me sad.

I'm disappointed in this. I like the Alpha Vamp. He always felt menacing for a monster. Now he's probably going to be killed, like he was no big deal, by Sam and my guess is Mary or one of the BMoL based on the title . . . not cool.
The manipulation of Sam and Dean into joining the BMoL is still a thing, which is annoying, but if you think about when the Alpha Vamp was introduced, this feels like some kind of parallel between Mary and the BMoL and Samuel and Crowley, so I'm guessing this is the episode that Sam and Dean find out that Mary is working with the BMoL. Maybe that's a positive?

Really dreading the Sammy the Vampire Slayer episode. It really looks like they are gearing up for a sequel to Red Meat. I always thought of Dean as the Vampire Slayer of the group and really wish they had gone with a different monster. I also think Sam will take out the Alpha this episode which is a shame since I think he had the potential of being a long term Big Bad (and I think Dean deserved taking him out more than Sam). I will say if he has to go I hope it is by Sam or Dean and not by Mary or the BoL and their ray guns.
So my episode theory is- Mary lays waste to dozens of Vamps all by herself with one hand behind her back. The Alpha shows up and captures her (hopefully by being immune to ray guns). Sam and Dean come to the rescue. Dean is sidelined with saving Mary while Sam kills the Alpha. The boys realize that Mary is working with the BoL because drama.

So, I'm guessing that Lucifer's baby isn't actually going to be the threat everyone thinks it is, and the BMoL will want to kill it anyway. That's what will put TFW in direct opposition to them?

I'm also thinking that instead of lies and secrets coming between the brothers, maybe it will be Mary? Judging from the details about Sammy the vampire slayer, I wonder if Sam agrees to work with Mary and the BMoL and Dean doesn't.

I have a crazy spec- what if Ketch is actually Asmodeus? Ramiel said he was on earth and liked playing with his "toys". Ketch certainly enjoys the LoL gadgets and he really does like to kill. And we've met Dagon so it wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibility that Asmodeus will also pop up this season. Which would also open up the possibility that if he's the father of Lady Toni's son, that would mean the child is half demon. Dabb wrote the Jesse episode so I could see him wanting to play out that storyline over a longer time. Plus, the show did spend a lot of time early on setting up Lady Toni (who was clearly a sadist hiding behind this sophisticated veneer) and her Tiny Tot. It would be ironic if everyone's chasing Lucifer's offspring (who's actually half angel) while the true threat is this child (who's half demon.)
I think I'm grasping for anything to make this season a little more layered and meaningful than it's been so far. And I'm beyond done with Lucifer's tired old storyline; I'd prefer any other Big Bad at this point.
