Supernatural is bringing back a character that hasn’t been on the show since season 1. Loretta Devine (The Carmichael Show) will be reprising her role as psychic Missouri Moseley in the upcoming third episode of the CW series’ thirteenth season.
The character first appeared in 2005 in an episode called ‘Home’ that involved Sam having nightmares about their former home in Lawrence, Kansas, where the current occupants — a mother and two small kids — are extremely accident prone. They consult Moseley, their father’s old medium friend, and together with the help of their mother’s spirit, are able to confront the evil poltergeist. A second ghost intervenes and someone hides behind Moseley.
Fast forward 12 years and the boys have changed and Moseley returns. Executive producer Andrew Dabb told TVLine:
“We’ll find out the reasons why we haven’t seen her in a few years. She is one of the few people still around who can comment on what Sam and Dean were like versus what they are like [now]. The last time she saw Sam and Dean, Sam was just out of college, and Dean was struggling with being his own man, still kind of in his dad’s shadow. They are not those guys anymore.” Supernatural Season 13 kicks off on Thursday, October 12th at 8 p.m. on the CW.
So, thoughts? I mean, we can expect her to be nasty as hell to Dean and baby Sam because poor Dear how much he has suffered, but now that Sam has no powers, maybe she will ignore him a bit.
In any case, I don´t give her many odds of surviving the episode, given how SPN treats returning guest stars.
Yeah, Misery is just something else to make me not look forward to season 13. LD's "acting" style is and will be hella predictable, because she plays the same character all the time, and there's no doubt Dabb will make sure she's as horrible to Dean as possible, 'cuz it's funny doncha know.
Since it sounds like Jensen may have filmed a little more in this episode than Jared, you may be right about Misery ignoring Sam for a change.
But since ultimately her appearance has more to do with the spin-off that Dabb & Co. are far more interested in and concerned about that the mothership anyway (i.e., introducing the granddaughter), I expect the episode to be more boring than anything else. As to whether Misery survives, I'd love to think she bites the big one, it would be the one positive for me personally, but I'm not counting on it.
thesnowleopard: The season finale was better than last season's finale. Hell, the whole season was better than last season. Some episodes were worth watching. Others were kinda messy.

onali: Since I haven't been watching the show I don't know how some (former) dead characters have returned (in what form) but I have to say that I don't miss the show at all. Is it still worth watching or not?

onali: It's been a long time since I've been here. Only watched the Season premiere then .... nothing. Every now and again I watched what you were rating the episodes and yes I've seen some spoilers (can some people just please stay dead??!!!!!) (1)

paforrest: Excited is not what I'm feeling. But I've set the dvr, will live watch Gotham & Will & Grace, then The Good Place off the dvr. Maybe tomorrow I'll FF through SPN if, and only IF, I hear there's any good Dean.

onali: So ... who is excited for tomorrow? I still have to re-watch the last couple of episodes, but I am lacking the enthousiasm.

SkeksisGirl: Just FYI guys, Luxshine is going to be in Florida come mid October. She and I are going to be vending as artists at Spooky Empire. So much hugs and puppies to her when she's here.

luxshine: Thank guys. There was ANOTHER earthquake here today, but this time I didn´t even feel it. Just dealing with a bit of PTSD. So if you can send fluffy things and cute Jensen or Misha pics my way, I´ll appreciate it.

onali: Glad you all are ok over there.

paforrest: So glad you're okay, luxshine! Absolutely heartbreaking situation. And I'm terrified and devastated for Puerto Rico and the other islands impacted by Maria. Mother Earth is very pissed off at us.

luxshine: New Earthquake here in Mexico. Now... a bit more savage than last week's. But I'm ok!

luxshine: I'm glad people from Florida are ok! We had a bit of an earthquake in Mexico, but other than three terrified kitties, I'm ok.

paforrest: Belatedly checking in from Florida. My roof held and no trees fell on the house, miraculously enough. Spent two days cleaning up debris in the yard, but we fared better than most, for which I'm grateful. But I feel for so many that are suffering.

SkeksisGirl: Checking in from FL, I survived Irma with power and no damage to my apartment.

SkeksisGirl: As for Creation, this is why I work them.

SkeksisGirl: Oh, the new owners for Megacon are just turning it into a meat grinder. They've screwed over a lot of people.
May 27, 2017 16:59:57 GMT -5
paforrest: Yeah, I've been to a few Megacons in the past - they can be a cluster. But I was talking about how years ago I'd have been thrilled if a Creation SPN con finally came here. Now it is and I don't care and can't justify the money. Changing times.
