For me it's close between Yockey and Glynn, so I'll go for Glynn, since she doesn't have any votes yet.

That's how my ranking starts too. Then goes to the mediocre to below average Dabb and (now) Berens. Then to the worst Buck-Lemming and Perez. Holding off judgement on Bring though.

Once upon a time I would have picked Berens... What the hell happened to him?
Yockey and Glynn have both improved, I think, but I don't quite trust them yet. Neither of them is a Nancy Won, that's for sure.
Dabb is still very much my favourite - as long as he doesn't put on his showrunner's hat like he did in the last five minutes of "First Blood".

Definitely agree with ya about Berens. I thought he would be the strongest one going into this season, but he started his downslide last season and hasn't rebounded.
Although, I thought Nancy Won's ep's were just okay myself, I can certainly understand being leery of Yockey and Glynn, as they are also new to the show.

Yockey and Glynn have each written one of my favourite episodes of the season, but since Regarding Dean is my number one ep so far I went with Glynn.
Hopefully co-writing with Berens doesn't tank her next episode.

I hope their ep doesn't tank either. And I hope working with her inspires him to improve his writing again while not bringing hers down.

Personally I don't think we have any really good writers anymore. Berens used to be good, but once he hitched his wagon to Dabb's, his writing skills plummeted and instantly turned douchey.
Given what we've seen so far this season, I have to go with Glynn because she appears to be the predominant, if not only, Dean-fan writer we have.

I do think we do in Yockey and Glynn, and given more experience they should improve even more.
I think Yockey shows respect to Dean in his episodes as well, but aside from Yockey, Glynn does appear to me also to have more enthusiasm in her writing for Dean than others certainly have shown.

Glynn wrote my favorite ep of the season so far ("Regarding Dean"), but I think Yockey is somewhat better on the structural elements.
The rest are a bit problematical and I find it worrisome that the worst (Perez) has already written more than the other newbies.

And from what I gather he has yet another one on the way. Don't know which one though.

Someone posted a link with a Perez interview a couple of weeks ago on another thread and ugh. SO SMUG. My takeaway from the interview was that he has some seriously lofty ideas with no ability to self-edit his work into a cohesive script without a lot of external input from the (not-so-good) showrunner.

And the bolded is also concerning to me.
