Think Dabb and the crew would be petty enough to recast Crowley... just to piss off Mark?

No way season 13 is less than 23 episodes. J2 are locked in for the season and the show is consistently third or fourth on the network. Another important issue (aside from its ongoing success in syndication and ability to make pots of money for the studio) is that it's the #1 non-superhero (i.e., non-comic book) show on the network and the CW is concerned about relying so much on that genre. Only bad ratings, or a perception of a permanent loss of audience in the long run, will kill this show. I just posted a table in the ratings thread that compares the season end ratings for all the CW shows. This year, SPN came in 5th for the network. Ratings are down across the board but SPN is an aging, increasingly expensive show. I'm sure it's still a cash cow but I wonder how far the ratings can drop before it stops being profitable enough. And with so much fan discontent, apparent BTS drama... maybe TPTB will start to take a more active interest. No matter when it ends, the show deserves to go out with a bang, not a defeated whimper.

Recast Crowley... No. Put another King of Hell? Lucifer baby for exemple? Or Lucifer himself if the nephilim doesn't grew up in Mark P in two episodes? Why not? That's one of the screwed up possibles scenarii i could see them go for.

Simply put, no. For a start, SPN is actually currently at third place, close behind Supergirl, and doing almost three times as well as the CW's worst-rated show, CEG. Arrow and LoT both dropped heavily this season. For another, expensive? Not so much. The big reason shows get more expensive as they age is cast salaries. They only have to worry about J2 and J2 basically get SAG raises. Compared to the ensembles on the superhero shows, that's not so much. And most of the CW's shows are hardly holding back on the CGI. Plus, the show has been paying for itself, and probably several other CW shows for a while. It just went up to five episodes four days per week and three episodes another day on TNT. That's very impressive. TNT is ruthless about pruning out even newer shows that aren't delivering. Add in the Netflix deal, DVD and residuals sales, international revenue, and the network and studio have every reason to keep the show going indefinitely. Because they want it to keep going indefinitely, yes, they certainly could take an active interest. They're probably already watching this situation closely. But cancel it? Nah. Not for a while.

It looks as though they're going to have Mark P play the Naphil and have him be next season's Big Bad. Naturally, this means the Naphil won't be nearly the formidable, universe-breaking entity he's been built up as all season. But we already knew that.

Poor Mark seems to be stuck with "customer service" on the brilliant move to kill Crowley....
Apparently every article has comment by people saying "oh but no ones really dies in SPN " etc etc soeach time he says again that no, it's over. You'll think that Dabb, Michaels or Singer would finally make a statement or somthing, but no. Probably not wanting to see the answers they'd get...

Well, Dabb is either completely gormless or totally passive-aggressive on Twitter (somebody really needs to talk to that boy), Singer isn't on social media at all, and after his one doomed foray into smoothing troubled waters with Mark S., Michaels is probably like, "I'm not touching this one with a ten-foot-pole."

"Michaels is probably like, "I'm not touching this one with a ten-foot-pole." Yeah, probably. It was a seriously bad move. Unless he wasn't aware of any bad blood, which I would find a bit surprising... But I think he usually receives a lof of tweets that he seems to actually read, so maybe he saw some first reactions and tried to douse the flames, I don't know. Either way, yeah, really bad move.

If people don't really die on spn then I went Ellen, Hendriksen, Rufus, Pamela, Gabriel, Abaddon and Meg back. Jo and Kevin can come back, too. And whoever else. I'll wait. The actor who played Benny was a pos, right? Dabb, Singer and Michaels are probably relishing in people thinking they haven't killed him off for good. It might hurt the ratings if people knew he was gone for sure, or people might say mean things on twitter.

The actor who played Benny was a pos, right? Dabb, Singer and Michaels are probably relishing in people thinking they haven't killed him off for good. It might hurt the ratings if people knew he was gone for sure, or people might say mean things on twitter. In all fairness, Ellen, Henricksen, Rufus, Pamela, Jo, Kevin, and Benny did all come back after they "died." There isn't anything actually stopping a human or monster character who has moved on to one of the three main afterlives from coming back in some form. It's just the dead angels and demons who are tough for the show to resurrect in-story. Castiel is the exception that proves the rule. The *rumor* about Ty Olsson is that he may have a drinking problem (though he claimed that in the incident in question, he was roofied). Here's a pretty detailed and cringy account of the incident, from a fan who appears not to have an ax to grind (she does mention his apology/explanation in her edits at the bottom and there's some good back-and-forth in the comments): geekyfriedriceguild.com/2014/03/20/supernaturals-ty-olsson-lost-a-fan-and-heres-why/I don't know what the actual truth of it is, though I will say that from what I saw at Jaxcon, the roofie claim is entirely plausible, especially for the lower-level (below J2 and M2) GoHs. Security's just not as tight for them, for good and ill. As for the alleged groping, there are rules against it, but the actors get groped a lot by the fans and that's pretty much never addressed or even acknowledged. If anything, fans think it's funny and the GoHs are expected to play along with it or get an ugly reputation that means no future Creation cons for them. While groping someone who doesn't want to be groped isn't okay, I'm pretty cynical about the complaints of the GoHs groping the fans. In order for that to happen, the fan has to get pretty close to the GoH in the first place and in many cases, the fan's motives regarding that are not pure.

That sounds REALLY jealous. The original post, I mean. The apology... kind of fake.
And a complete contrast to Mark's posts that simply don't go into anthing aobut their costars.
